First Semester is over! Spring is just around the corner! Yeah!
I really enjoyed the format we used and collectively designed for our Semester Exam presentations! I think we all learned about each other, and our team games. Often times we forget others are creating right beside of us and that we can learn so much from our neighbors.
What did you think of the testing format we used? Corrections? Suggestions? This will help me plan for your 2nd Semester Exam Presentation!

We are making progress! Now what?
We are now half way through the school year. Students are in 6 teams and are really getting down to building their games.
Getting lined up to get a webinar with a techie for coding is now a priority.
I would really like to get more one on one webinars scheduled for for some teams.
I would also like to get students to write more in their report logs, and voluntarily post comments to their blogs. I know that I need to post more to this blog!

Look How Far We Have Come in Our Learning-Dec 1
We have now been working with Globaloria for approximately 14 weeks. For me, time seems to be moving quickly as is your learning. It is hard to imagine that back in August, we were all nervous, unsure and unsettled. I am blessed to have such a great group of students, and I'm glad that we can learn and share new knowledge together. I think we are going to have some really cool, working, and challenging games come together very soon! Please share your thoughts about our class here. I hope you return to see what others had to say also!

A day in my life of Globaloria
I find myself wondering how students are really interrupting what they are doing in class. We are filling in the report logs, and blogging often. As far as grades go, I am finding participation/completion of tasks/assignments is working well, but does not allow the top kids to shine gradewise.
I am excited about our first ExpertLive session on vectors tomorrow. Hoping all goes well.

October 5, 2008--Establishing Team Pages
Remembering how to setup a new page for each team in the sidebar was somewhat challenging.
Together, Mr. Dorsey, myself and a student figured it all out! All five of my teams now have a Team Page with their Teachertube video is now successfully posted! Wow! This took more time than I had anticipated.
Students have now also added their avatar/profile to the User Gallery. We will hopefully get photos/etc uniquely changed soon.
I am looking forward to getting my students involved in learning flash concepts....I will be in the trenches with them!

October 1--Videotaping of Prototypes
Students seemed to really enjoy this part of the process. Our librarian has been kind enough to provide us with a quiet room in the back of the library, where the teams can record without background noise. This makes it easier to hear the person speaking on tape.
For me, learning to make the videos the smallest possible format was interesting! First try was a huge file to upload....I had enough time to bake a cake, and put the icing on it!
I have had students upload to teachertube through my teacher tube account, due to the fact teacher tube is to be 18 years or older to establish an account. .....Teaching social responsibility!

Globaloria Workshop 2 My thoughts....
Our training session today has been busy! A lot of information, but I have not gone into overload mode....yet!
I believe students will love the class, and that discipline will become obsolete in this class.
I'm excited for my students begin! I believe that I am ready to start the school year, especially knowing that I have many resources on which call upon.
